On the threshold of 2016

Another year, by God's grace will come to an end ushering in promises of hope and joy. Like every beginning holds promises of a better me, 2016 will be no different. 2015 has taught many invaluable lessons which will remain etched in my mind.

A student's passing on, a flood, a concert, . . . - 2015 sure was a mixed bag of emotions. It has not ended still but gratitude is nevertheless due for this year which over and over reminded me that I am not alone in this journey - my faith is always there to lean on. That I am more than a conqueror is being reiterated time and again and the reason is not because I overcame many pitfalls but that every pitfall reminds me to get up and move forward.

Cheers to new beginnings and unexpected changes!

1st September

Exactly two months since I have started working.

When I think of my blessings, I am indeed speechless and awestruck.

My gratitude list for today:

1. The refreshing break from work. I thank my Lord for giving me this well deserved break.

2. For a lovely dinner of idly-sambar-coconut chutney. Felt like I was in Tamil Nadu during the course of the dinner.

3. For work which makes me feel resourceful

4. For the new wireless facility which enables me to browse from any part of the house.

5. For my phone which connects me to people.

6. For the first salary that I received.

7. For emails and the sense of connection it provides to people who are quite far away.

8. For my new kitchen equipment which makes me happy.

9. For life. For faith. For love

two months have passed by quite fast and here the first of march has arrived. the month of february was quite eventful with many things coming to pass.

awaiting the completion of our book, my defense and publishing of an essay which is in cold storage. looking forward.

The last time I wrote an entry here, I was in another place. Thanks be to Almighty, we are now in a place that we are learning to love and enjoy. The last month especially has been a month of many changes - mental, spiritual and physical. I can sense that the Universe is hearing me out and trying its best to take care of me. Finally, I feel at peace with my surroundings and physical environment, which is very important for mental peace and serenity.

There have been difficult situations both online and offline but looking back it seems that they have passed on for good. The paths weren't easy and joyous always but we are still learning - leaning to make peace and plod on inspite of everything.

There have been sad events all around me but still I hope and have faith.

As I am on the threshold of 2013, I strive to be more aware and joyous.

As September ends . . .

The ending of every month is a signal to feel gratitude for the bygone month and months. As I stand at the threshold of a new month and a new year, I cannot but be thankful for everything.
