Just two more days for October!

Another two more days and the curtains fall on September. I can see October waiting patiently in the green room waiting to arrive and turn the place a little different than what was in September. There's another reason for me to be filled with joy -- My walk on this earth will complete another year giving way to a new year. It feels splendid to have come this far.

Today my heart and mind is overwhelmed with gratitude for many many things. I cannot list out every single one but here's a few:

~ The cool weather with bursts of rain at times
~ The joy of conversations in the car with NS and R
~ The internet which disseminates wonderful information hitherto unknown to me
~ Meeting new and talented people through different groups
~ Laughter in abundance
~ Kindred spirit in M

Ah, whatte feeling!

The past few days have given me so much to be grateful for and if I don't record them, I will never record them.

~ for L sir who helped us when we were in dire need of a cylinder to cook our food. 
~ for NS sir who helps me with direction in reading the right books
~ for M who continues being there whenever things go unmanageable
~ for the programme on the 24th which went on well. 
~ for Sunday and Monday nights when electricity did not get cut during the night. We slept well and woke up afresh :)

A new week

Today I am glad and grateful that:

~ I was able to get some work done in the Library
~ I am allowed to work in the Library
~ I am progressing in the essay that I began some time ago
~ I was able to relish wonderful lunch
~ I am able to record my gratitude by typing

Today it's a year since I last spoke to someone very close to me. I am thankful that I met that wonderful person in my life - I am thankful for the music, the thoughts and the conversations. You are always on my mind.

And, I am thankful for the people who were part of my life yesterday and today. I don't know what tomorrow holds but I am grateful for today.

Seven months and thirteen days

Whenever someone asks me about the irregular entries of this blog, I feel a bit uneasy. Why? This blog is meant to record my gratitude on an everyday basis. I have so many things to be grateful for but I don't record them.

Today, I am thankful for:
~ The internet without which I shall be missing out on many things
~ The peaceful flow of the day so far
~ Th positivity around me
~ I am glad that I can write and express myself
~ For the ability to smile and be happy

Why no entries?

There have been so many instances for which I was overwhelmed with gratitude but haven't cared to wrte them down. Does that make me less grateful? No.

~ It has been a year of being married
~ I have realised that sweating the small stuff is absolutely unnecessary when one has the option of being thankful for many many blessings
~ I am surrounded by people who love me inspite of me being not-so-pleasant
~ My memories keep me company in times of being lonely

Small surprises that bring a smile

Today morning after I came to the Staff room having finished a class, I found a bag waiting for me. It was from my mother. She had sent some goodies which included my favourite mutton cutlets, and certain other eatables. I was overjoyed. My mom had sent these things with a non-teaching staff who had gone to Chennai for the weekend.

She made me smile and I am grateful for/to her and her thoughtfulness.

A new month . . .

The first of every month fills me with immense gratitude and warmth. While many have passed on, I remain. I have been blessed with another month to savour, appreciate and be thankful for.

January and February, though had their own ups and downs have passed on giving me March to march ahead with joy.
